Stock Up On Children's Mucinex!

I joined the Mucus Fighters Community from Mucinex to learn about health tips and to have the chance to receive some free samples and coupons.  I accepted an invitation for a mission through the Mucinex Mucus Fighters Community to try children's Mucinex for my child when he was sick, and received a free coupon to pick some up.  I picked up a dual pack of daytime and nighttime children's Mucinex liquid medicine and was glad to have it on hand when he happened to get sick.  Unfortunately he got sick during the week of his birthday and birthday party but we were super thankful that this medicine seemed to work wonders.  He did not really like the taste but really no one likes the taste of any medicine so that is not a surprise and not a big deal, all I care about is how quickly my kiddo starts to feel better.  The nighttime medicine put him to bed quickly and the daytime medicine seemed to help him feel great for several hours.  I did notice though that the daytime medicine would wear off and he would begin to feel terrible and we had to rush home.  Overall the medicine worked very well and after only a couple of days of medicine and rest he was back to completely better.  I will definitely continue to purchase this medicine and keep it around the house for my kiddo.

We have had a blast in the community so far, we have gotten to color a holiday themed Mucus for several holidays so far and we find that to be super fun!

Crowdtap - Zicam Medicated Fruit Drops (Free Sample)

I was selected by Crowdtap to receive a free sample of Zicam Cold Remedy Medicated Fruit Drops that are designed to shorten the length of the common cold. They are a homeopathic cold remedy product so I thought my husband would like this best because he dislikes taking medication. The bottle contains 25 drops in assorted fruit flavors so there will be plenty to share and/or keep for future colds that we may come down with. Unfortunately, just about the whole family came down with a little cold this past week but it happens to be perfect timing to try out this sample. I took one of the fruit drops this morning and do not really feel any different (as expected) but do hope that it will help to shorten the length of the cold because I could sure do without this runny nose. I definitely enjoyed the taste, they were very similar to a gummy candy and did not give the sense that you were taking medicine. I also will be giving my mama a few of these to try as she has been feeling slightly unwell also.
UPDATE: Both my mother and my husband came down with a cold toward the end of last week and were not feeling well all weekend. I made both of them take some of these Zicam Medicated Fruit Drops to hopefully help shorten the length of their colds. As for my husband it definitely seemed to help at least a bit because by Sunday morning he was no longer complaining as heavily about the sickness. As for my mother, I think he cold is a bit worse so she is not yet feeling much better but continues to take the Zicam in hopes of shortening the duration of the sickness. My husband liked the taste and consistency of the fruit drops and said they reminded him of any other gummy candy. As for my mother she liked them as well and was not put off by the taste but was surprised at the consistency, she said they were squishier than she had expected.

Thoughts: I wold like to believe that these are working but I am unsure because we took these along with other medicine so it was difficult to tell which of the medicated items were making the difference.  I think we will continue to keep these around the house because I am sure it can only help to take these along with other medicine, and I will take anything that can help.

Nature's Bounty Rewards - Free 3 Month Supply

I signed up for Nature's Bounty Rewards where I am able to submit my product codes in exchange for points in the rewards program.  In 2017 I hit the gold level rewards and was able to redeem my points for a Free 3 month supply of selected vitamins.  I was able to choose between a variety of vitamins and decided to order the Hair, Skin, and Nails gummies for my mom to try. 

In the package we received: 
3 bottles of Nature's Bounty Hair, Skin, and Nails Gummies in Strawberry flavor (80ct each)

My mom has been loving these, she said that the taste is great and she is starting to notice a difference in her hair and her nails have been growing faster.  She says she will definitely be purchasing more of these once she run out of the Free ones we received.

I did read that the program will be changing now in 2018 so I am not sure how it will work going forward but I am sure they will continue to offer the great discounts and possible freebies that they had previously.

Enlightened Better for you Snacks - Free Sample Coupons

My mama and I were each able to order a coupon for some free Enlightened Better for you Snacks.  The coupons came in the form of a little post card that had 3 coupons on it.

1 Coupon for a pint or box of Ice Cream Bars
1 Coupon for a single Marshmallow treat
1 Coupon for Roasted Broad Bean Crisps

My mama and I went over to our local Sprouts to pick up these items but unfortunately were unable to find the Marshmallow Treats.  We then went to a few different stores that were supposed to carry them and at a few we found the boxes of the treats but the coupon appears to be for a single treat, not a box of them so we were unable to pick up the Marshmallow Treat items anywhere.  As for the ice cream and roasted broad bean crisps, we were able to get both of those at Sprouts although there was not much selection for the roasted broad bean crisps as they only had one flavor in our store.

For the Roasted Broad Bean Crisps my mom and I both grabbed a bag of Sea Salt flavor (because this was the only option).  The bag suggests that they would be good on salads or in soup or to snack anytime.

For the ice cream, my mom and I both chose to pick up a pint of ice cream rather than a box of bars.  My mama chose the Sea Salt Caramel flavor and I chose the Caramel Oatmeal Cookie Crunch.  They had so many delicious flavors that it was difficult to decide which to pick but I felt that the oatmeal cookie was very unique so I chose that one.

Update: My mama and I were at the mall and happened to see a GNC store, I checked in there for the Marshmallow Treats and was lucky enough to find them.  This particular GNC store happened to have all 4 different flavors available individually as well as in boxes.  My mama chose original and I chose the apple cinnamon flavor.

All of the treats were awesome, my son and I liked the Ice Cream best while my mom really liked the Broad Bean Crisps for a work snack.  I thought the Marshmallow Treats were a bit tasteless but my mom and son seemed to like them much more than I did.  I think we will definitely be picking up more of the Ice Cream and the Broad Bean Crisps in the future, especially if we can find some of the other flavors of the crisps.

Houseparty - Sip Snack Hooray New Years Party Free

We were selected by Houseparty.fun to host a holiday Sip Snack Hooray Party featuring 7Up, Canada Dry, and Nabisco snacks for New Years.  This party application was super fun because it was sort of a surprise which party you would get.  There were 4 possible parties; Winter Wonderland Party, Ugly Sweater Party, Holiday Pajama Party, or a Glitter & Gold Party.  I was really hoping for the Ugly Sweater Party but we were still super excited to receive the Glitter & Gold Party Pack for New Years.  It was a little strange because we were supposed to host the party on December 16th but the items we received were for a New Years party so we waited until New Years Eve to host.

We invited over all sorts of friends and family but most young people like our friends like to go out and really party it up for New Years so our Houseparty ended up small yet very enjoyable with the people we love most.  We enjoyed some awesome snacks with 7UP and Canada Dry to wash them down thanks to the $10 giftcard to Target.  The 7UP and Canada Dry were awesome for mixing with some alcohol and also for the non drinkers to drink as just soda. I typically go overboard on the drink selection but this time decided to stick to just these two for the party and it went better than expected.  Everyone was satisfied, including those that drink alcohol and those that don't.  For the snacks we decided to go a little outside the box, at first I had regular Ritz in my cart but then decided to switch them out for some of the new Ritz Crisp & Thins in Bacon flavor and I am sure glad I did.  This was the first time any of us had tried the new Crisp & Thins and they were incredible.  We only purchased the bacon flavor but are super excited to try out some of the other flavors in the near future.  We also purchased a pack of Oreos because everyone loves those and a box of Honey Made graham crackers.  For the graham crackers, we made some of my mamas frosting to put on top which is something she has done since I was a little girl. 

Our New Years party may not have been wild but it sure was a blast, everyone had fun from age 7 to 88 it was a blast, and we all watched the ball drop together which was super special for me.  I first watched the ball drop many years ago with my Grammy and Papa so it was great to do that with him again this year.

Arm & Hammer Simple Solutions - Free Container

Hello,
I signed up for the Arm & Hammer Simple Solutions Sharing Network and am having a blast learning all kinds of new tips and tricks and recipes using Arm & Hammer Baking Soda and I have had the opportunity to receive some free products. I will leave a link down below where you can sign up for the the community. I was selected to receive a free baking soda storage container that I filled and have been using for my cooking this holiday season.  The container is great, it has one side that opens with little holes for sprinkling and the other side opens wide for pouring a lot or measuring with a spoon.  This has been super handy in the kitchen, I cannot believe I did not think of it before to put my baking soda into a container such as this.

Snuggle Community - Free Mini Snuggle Bear

I signed up for the Snuggle Community where you can participate in missions to help share about the brand and have the opportunity to possibly receive some free samples and gifts.  After having completed a couple of missions by sharing on social media I was selected to receive a free mini snuggle bear to share the holidays with.  My son anxiously awaited the arrival of his snuggle bear, in fact I think he was more concerned with the snuggle bear than he was with his Christmas gifts.

In the package we received:

My son has been loving his new bear.  Right after we opened the package he took the little bear into his bedroom to meet all of this other new friends (stuffed animals) and ever since, snuggle bear has been on adventures all over the house.  He participated in making sugar cookies, spent time in the Christmas tree, hung out in Grandmas village, and played with some new Christmas toys.  The bear is not of the greatest quality so I am waiting for the meltdown when he happens to get a hole but hopefully grandma will be able to fix him up and save the day.  This was a great gift to receive during the holiday season.
